When I received this call from this number, the person identified himself as Anthony Costigan at extension 3004, and
Employee ID 19210 and claimed to be with WebRoot. As that is the device I use, I let him in to my computer. After digging around for a while he claimed that my "firewall" was not functioning, but he could provide a new one that was 100% guaranteed to prevent any hacking. The Price? $3,600.00.
I told him I couldn't spend that kind of money on this computer. After a lot of rigmarole the lowest price for the cheapest firewall was $300.00. To which I responded that too was just too much! "Half now and half next year", "My response was "NO" . That was when I finally told him I was going to hang up. But of course, after he "quit" I couldn't open anything. I called the number he'd given me and I told him that I wanted him to set my computer back to where it was when I let him into it.
At that time I still thought he was with WebRoot.
I found that WebRoot had just added a new board member, Peter Pace, a 4 star General who had served with the Joint Chiefs prior to his retirement.. As I have a cousin who had also served with the Joint Chiefs prior to his retirement and who was a good friend of General Pace, I told "Anthony" that I was going to have his job.
I should have known or at least suspected that this was a wholesale scam from the beginning,, but that's how gullible I am.

Calls my home and when I answer, nothing! Call back and it rings, NO answer. SCAM NUMBER, Be aware.....

A person named Sandy said she was from Nordstrom and there was a lot of suspicious activity on my account so not to use it because my acct is being hacked. 1087 is her extension and employee number was N0003103. Nordstrom has said I have a 0 balance and there has been no suspicious activity. And that number is no connection to Nordstrom. Thank you
