If you get calls from this number repeatedly, save the number as a contact under "Scammers" or whatever, then block it. Life's too short to argue with criminals that hopefully karma and a falling tree will take care of.

I am on a do not call list but this number rang. I answered and the message was, "not a valid extension!". Since I did not call this number, the message made no sense.
