Phone scammer trying to tell me my computer needed updates from Dell. called him out as malware/ransomware piece of shit and he says "we'll just get a new number, we scam 24hrs a day"

Somebody called me from this phone number and claimed that they from Dell. They knew my computer ID. When I said that I contacted Dell 2 weeks ago because I have a premium support regarding some issues they asked me couple formal questions and finished phone conversation.

This number called claiming to be from Dell Support. Somehow knew my service tag for my laptop. Claimed my computer was sending out error messages. Wanted me to give them remote access. Hung up and call the real Dell Support from the number on their website and they told me they couldn't see anything wrong with my computer and that if they did they would not call me about it unless I had recently called them about the problem. So, the call was from scammers who probably just wanted access to my computer to add viruses.

Same caller, sounds like from India. But the number is a landline in New Jersey, when you call the number back they answer as if they are Dell (believe me, they are not).

Caller said he was from dell and that there were issues with my computer. Sounded like a dell tech, had my laptop id number. Didnt think much of it until he said the issue couldnt be fixed by dell but that they had a 3rd party company they would connect me to that could do it for a fee. I thought that was suspicious, but the tech already accessed my machine remotely, so not sure if something was done to my system at that point.

They said they were from Dell computer, and I had been having problems but it was not the same person I had been working with and I hung up.
