Got a call from a Jenny stating that the call was time sensitive and that her call was recorded as a time stamp and that if I didn't respond they were going through with legal action against me. I called the number anyways and a woman answered corporate office. I did not speak to anyone. I have no outstanding debts think this is a scam to get info.

got the similar call yesterday around noon. Male, blocked number, said his name was Michael and that a complaint against me was referred to his office. He gave this 855 number to call back with a file number to reference. He threatened that if I did not call back by the end of the day, he would deem my number as a confirmation and they will have some kind of legal action towards me. I do not think there will be any kind of complaints or legal issues against me. So I highly doubt this to be a scam. It looked like so many people got their calls, similar calls. How can we stop these kind of calls?

Scam artist calling from a restricted number. They claim they need to verify that you will be home on a certain day of the week in order to serve you with papers. Rep claims they are "BGM & **sociates." May be telling you an old address you once had. If you hang up, will leave a voicemail to call this number. Will tell you if you don't respond by end of business day then they will "... proceed with the action against you without your participation." Do not give any information to them, including validating any personal information (e.g. address). Notify local law enforcement when called.
