Not only have they called us claiming a lawsuit is filed against us, they called my grandson's cell phone as well. We knew it was a scam when they said they called our grandson because he was my husband's emergency contact, something that is not, and never has been true. They had a live person call us saying she was an investigator for a law firm but she couldn't tell me what the lawsuit was about. But they are good, they had my husband's birthday. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. The IRS does not call you, they send you a letter. Period.

I get calls several times per day about IRS investigation. Some time, Mr. Sean Davis answers the phone, and said he is IRS agency, try to intimidate me.
We had enough stress, anxiety. We need to answer our phone.
How do we stop this scam? How can we stop the Mr. Sean Davis?

I called back and challenged them and they immediately hung up. Then after I tried calling back they stopped answering the calls. TOTAL SCAM. What ******es would think that this is at all societally acceptable to do this to people?

I just received a call from this number...and I have been getting them from several different numbers from different states stating they are IRS Officers. I have nothing wrong with the IRS. This is a complete scam.

I received this # at 830 AND 1030.. left a message to please call this # back on my voicemail. I did not respond. Just need to stop.

Same as all the others below. I encourage people to look up phone numbers while the caller is still on the line. My caller said he was an IRS agent. When I told him I was an IRS attorney he got defensive. The IRS would send mail if there were anything serious before calling on your cell phone. Notifications by mail would be the first contact from the IRS.

Received 2 calls from this number with the exact same robotic voicemail message, all within 90 minutes this morning. Not calling back or answering based on the below info on the "scam". I've heard of this happening, but never got a call until today. Blocked number.

Just got a call from this number. Same as others have written:
" The Nature of this call is to inform you about a lawsuit. Which has been filed on your name so before we go with legal matter and send this case to the local County courthouse kindly call us back on our number. Which is 646-506-4778. I repeat. It's 646-506-4778. Thank you and goodbye."

multiple calls today as noted below. Dont call back.. it is possible to use an incoming call to ping the cell phone calling and initiate a data hunt on the device, what do you have on your phone that you want these scammers to have access to?...

Today I received a phone call from this number and chose to ignore it. Then there was a voicemail stating the call is from the IRS and there's a lawsuit filed against me. Curious and scared, I called the number and a man answered without any wait time or options before you get to speak to a live representative. His voice was robotic but with a slight accent which makes it very real. This person claims to be officer Jack Cooper with Badge #WD077213 and that I owe $4,389 after being audited from 2010-2014 tax. Long story short, it was a terrifying experience to know how prepared well equipped these scammers are. Don't fall for it, it's a scam!

Received two robotic sounding calls with the following message: Been filed on your name. So before we go with legal matter and send this case to the local county court house kindly call us back on our number which is 646-506-4778. I repeat it's ......... Thank you and goodbye.

Robotic number called several times from (646) 506-4778 stating that my name has been listed in a lawsuit that was initiated by the IRS. Further stated to avoid penalties/ jail time return their call. SCAM

Robotic call telling me to call back. My friend is an accountant and she says this is a scam. Unfortunately, too many people fall for it. Every time a number I don't know calls, it goes to my block list.
