Male robot called yesterday, threatening arrest. Heather Gray robot called today, praying that this will be resolved soon. Obvious scam.

they called me and they have my email address and all this crap this is crazy!!!! the IRS will not call on a freaking Saturday

Received a call from this number today. It looks like a scam of some sort. They left a voicemail saying: It is extremely time sensitive. I'm officer Heather Gray from internal revenue service and the hotline to my division is 650-5039 I repeat 650-5039 disregard this message and do return the call goodbye and take care.

Voicemail left stating they are the Internal Revenue Service and this is a time sensitive matter it's a robot type voice with the name of heather

This number call me on 9-30-2016,saying I owe money to IRS.it's a scam,please be careful,they also try to scare u by saying if u don't take care of the outstanding amount,a police officer will be at your home to arrest u

This number called me 9/30/2016 claiming they were from the IRS and I was under federal investigation with a warrant for me and my address. lmao. She had some kind of Indian accent As soon as I started asking question she kept putting me on hold like to get answers from someone else because she didn't know what to say. I politely hung up and blocked the number.

They claimed that I'm being investigated for tax fraud and that they were giving me last chance to pay my account off. I had a feeling it was a scam and told them I'll wait for a certified letter from IRS, the woman without saying anything just hung up the phone.

THEY CLAIM TO BE THE IRS BUT INSTEAD OF AN ACTUAL PERSON LEAVING ME A VOICE-MAIL IT WAS A COMPUTER/ MACHINE.. I LOOKED UP THE NUMBER AND IT TELLS ME IS A SPRINT NUMBER SO I KNOW THAT IT'S NOT THE IRS BECAUSE THEY WOULD CALL FROM AN OFFICE PHONE NOT A CELL PHONE..

I called the number back. Goes to a call center with a bunch of Indians. They insist that I owe to the IRS, if I do not pay them they will arrest me. I asked for location, they rattled off a DC address as quick as they could and then I asked for their Employee ID which they again rattled off numbers. IRS will give you their name, location and address and phone number to reach them directly. They will not give you a DC address as that is not where they are located. Secondly, they do not give out personal employee numbers, only full name and department, also if asked they will give you a proper case number and local office to go to for questions. Please be cautious and remember that the IRS is not "out to get you", if you owe anything they will write, relentlessly, they will mail signature required mail. Lets all remember that the IRS is only doing their job and they are more than happy to help anyone understand and settle accounts before they would ever dream of taking action. Their job is to help us and in all truth they live up to their end of the bargain. Do not fear these scam calls. If you are feeling unsettled about it go to irs.gov and make a personal phone call yourself, they will be happy to set your mind at ease and help you if you do have any inconsistencies.
