1-16-17 noon--just received another call from this #, first one I answered. Caller, I suspect from India of Pakistan by accent, told me that something was wrong w/ my computer. I asked him if it was in my HP, Dell, or Mac, ( I only have one but was checking his knowledge base). He stated, 'not in your Mac; in your Windows computer' ! (didn't state Dell or HP ! ).
Though I was online at the time, he told me to go to my computer that I used most often & turn it on. I told him that I had to get rolling & he is going to call me back later today. I wish I had been armed w/ more knowledgeable questions about Windows & computer sci as a whole.
Though not specifically I Ding himself w/ a specific company, he came over as a tech, calling to alert me to someone having attacked & infiltrated my computer & implied that he would correct it for me !
