"Mrs. Hamilton" called me from this number. She said that she'd been trying to reach me about an important matter. She wanted me to call her back about the "supply charge" on my electric bill. I should call back an have a copy of my electric bill on hand. And yes, she does cough and excuse herself. She gives a reference number to use in my return call which I don't plan to make.

Same description as other callers - a Mrs. Hamilton with a cough. I called my electric company to find out. They said it is most likely not a scam, but someone wanting you to switch providers - the scam part is they may switch you over without your permission to make money once you tell them your account number. So the key is to ask all the right questions before you give any information.
My electric company stated that when a different provider is chosen, they get/responsible for 40% of the bill while the electric company is responsible for 60%. May be a better deal if you get all the info on contract, fixed rate vs variable, etc. But no need to call back if you are happy with your service.

Left a message on my phone regarding supply charges on my electric bill. She said her name was Miss Hamilton and she coughed and apologized. Gave me this same number to call back. I pay all my electric charge on my gas and electric bill. I am not calling back. Sounds like a scam to me.

Said she thought she had the wrong number but then went into a spiel about my having received a notice about lowering my electric bill (which I have not received), then went "can you hear me?" and then hung up when I said yes.
